Hi my dears blogger's friends:
Today is the last friday of my fourth semester (Thanks for God)
In this chance the topic is free but releted with a public administration affairs. This time I choose talk about the policies towards immigration
The first important point is define what is the inmigration. Well immigration relates to the movement of peoples from one country into another, for residential rather than visiting purposes, which may be for a number of reasons, including economic, familial, social or personal.
In the last 30 years, Chile has become an installation horizon for immigrants, which has been increased since the nineties for several Latin American and Central American countries like a Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Haiti, Colombia and Ecuador.
Immigration is a hugely controversial and politically sensitive subject. In our country the debate has been present because some people are opposed with the idea that people from the other countries, in special Haiti, arrive to Chile, because think that the inmigrants "steal work".
I think thah is not true. This people arrive to Chile for diferent reasons and have the right not to be discriminated, but the Chilean Inmigration Law is not a really help, on the contrary, make more powerful the discrimination in every sense.
There's still a lot to do in the field of inmigrants rights and this is a difficult work of the chilean public administration. The public institutions, like the Ministerio del Trabajo, must must take into account the phenomenon of immigration for future public policies, take this opportunity to for reform the welfare system, keeping in mind the opinion of the every chileans, also that the "new chileans", making an open and integrated society, with the best levels of well-being.
